Hair loss
Polynucleotide treatment for hair
A regenerative injectable that supports the follicle environment itself — better hair, not just more of it.
What it is
Polynucleotides are short DNA-derived chains (typically from purified salmon DNA — the same family as Nucleofill for the face) that stimulate skin and follicle regeneration at a cellular level. Used on the scalp, they aim to improve the environment around the follicle: better microcirculation, less inflammation, healthier surrounding tissue.
Where PRP focuses on growth-factor stimulation from your own platelets, polynucleotide treatment is a more general regenerative signal. The two work well together for many clients — and we often plan a combined protocol.
What it treats
- Diffuse thinning where individual hairs are becoming finer (miniaturisation)
- Poor scalp condition — dryness, dullness, sensitivity
- Support alongside other hair-loss treatments (PRP, topical / oral medication)
- Recovery after stressful periods, post-pregnancy shedding, or post-illness hair changes
How it works
- 1 Topical numbing applied to the scalp for 15–20 minutes.
- 2 The polynucleotide solution is injected at multiple small points across the treatment area using a fine needle.
- 3 A starting course is typically three to four sessions, two to four weeks apart.
- 4 Maintenance every 4–6 months keeps the effect compounded.

- You want a treatment that complements PRP or topical medication rather than replacing them
Not the right time if

FAQs
How is this different from PRP?
PRP uses your own blood-derived growth factors; polynucleotides use purified salmon DNA-derived molecules. Both are regenerative, both work — they target slightly different mechanisms. Many clients use them together for better outcomes than either alone.
Salmon DNA — is that safe?
Yes — polynucleotides used in clinic are purified to pharmaceutical-grade standards. The molecule used is the same regardless of source. We do not treat clients with confirmed salmon allergy.
How quickly will I see results?
Improved hair quality is often noticeable from 4–6 weeks. Visible thickening builds over 3 months as the follicle environment improves.
Can I keep using topical minoxidil or oral finasteride alongside?
Yes — polynucleotide treatment is compatible with both. In fact, the regenerative signal it provides may help your existing treatments work more effectively.
