Lashes & brows

Microblading & semi-permanent brows

Hand-drawn hair strokes that read as real eyebrows — including paramedical tattoo for clients without their own brows.

What it is

Microblading deposits pigment into the upper layers of the skin in fine, hand-drawn strokes that mimic real brow hairs. The result is a semi-permanent brow that lives between brow pencil and tattoo — there in the morning before make-up, gone gracefully in 12–24 months.

We also offer paramedical tattoo work for clients who have lost their brows or lashes during chemotherapy, alopecia or scarring. These appointments are unhurried and run separately from our standard brow appointments.

What it treats

  • Sparse or over-plucked brows
  • A naturally pale brow that disappears in photographs
  • Asymmetry between brows
  • Brows lost through alopecia, chemotherapy or scarring

How it works

  1. 1 Consultation: we map the brow shape with a pencil first, in front of a mirror. The shape we agree is the shape we tattoo.
  2. 2 A topical numbing cream is applied. Once numb, fine strokes are drawn into the skin using a hand tool. Pigment is matched to your hair colour and undertone.
  3. 3 A second session 6–8 weeks later refines the colour and shape after initial healing.
  4. 4 A refresh at 12–18 months keeps the result looking its best.

What to expect

Appointment time

Initial: 2.5–3 hours. Refresh: 90 minutes.

Downtime

Brows look noticeably darker for the first week before lightening to their final tone by week three. Some scabbing and itchiness is normal.

How it feels

Mild scratching with topical numbing. Most clients find it more comfortable than they expect.

Aftercare

Keep the area dry for 7 days. No make-up over the brows for 10 days. No swimming, saunas or sun for 14 days. We provide a small aftercare ointment.

FAQs

How long does it last?

Twelve to twenty-four months depending on your skin and lifestyle. Oily skin and sun exposure speed up fading. A retouch every 12–18 months keeps the result looking fresh.

Will it look natural?

Done well, yes — friends should compliment your brows without realising why they look better. We work in hair strokes that match the direction, density and colour of your own brow hair.

Does it hurt?

Topical numbing makes it comfortable for most clients. The forehead has surprisingly few pain-sensitive nerves; most clients are fine without anything stronger.

What's the second session for?

Skin heals unevenly the first time around — some strokes hold pigment better than others. The retouch 6–8 weeks later evens the colour and finalises the shape.

Can I have brows in colour?

We match to your natural hair colour and undertone. Most clients are a shade or two lighter than they expect — pigment continues to oxidise into a slightly cooler tone over the first month.
